Blood Donation Camp
Meemunnamu have organized a blood donation camp for the first time on 10th May 2020. Due to COVID-19, the blood reserves in major blood banks have drastically came down in the entire country. In that view Meemunnamu decided to conduct a donation camp. We have met many people for the permissions. Finally we met Sri. Borra Rajashekar Garu, State Markfed Vice Chairman with the idea. With the great support of him we have got all permissions to conduct the camp on 9th May 2020. With support of Jagruth hospitals, Wyra we made all the arrangements at Open area of Jagruth hospitals.
We made posters for whatsapp, instagram and Facebook and mobilized people from Wyra, Pinapaka, Musalimadugu, etc. Total of more than 50 members have registered their names through Google form and over phone. After starting in slow pace, we have reached 73 donors. They said it's might be the biggest number in blood donations in Wyra in recent times.
Our Wyra MLA Sri. Lavudya Ramulu Naik garu visited the camp and appreciated meemunnamu organization very much for conducting various kinds of events in these difficult times of lock down. Wyra SI Sri. Suresh Garu, Muncipal Chairman Sri. Jaipal Garu, Vice Chairman Seetaramulu garu have also appreciated us for the contribution for the nation.
Last but not least, many of our Meemunnamu family members have donated blood. Including Meemunnamu members Gandham Varun Bhargav, Bonala VNP Sai Rama Krishna, Singu Hemanth, Singu Badri, Dokuparthy Mohan, Dokuparthy Sai Krishna, Kamal, M Kiran, S Jayanth a total of 73 members have donated blood.
